High Protein Smoothie Without Protein Powder

Derek Howes, aka The Protein Chef, demonstrates¬†how to make a great high protein smoothie for after your workout. This smoothie is special because the protein does not come from the usual protein powder that you might be used to ( or sick of ūüôā ). Derek uses egg whites but you could just substitute more greek yogurt if you prefer to skip the eggs. So break away from your “usual” whey protein drink and blend up something new the next time you hit the gym!

Here is Derek’s recipe:

1 Cup Almond Milk
1/2 Banana
1 Cup Strawberries
9 Tablespoons Liquid Egg Whites
2/3 cup Fat Free Vanilla Greek Yogurt
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1/2 Cup Ice
